Short answer
Hyperliquid requires at least $10 of position value per order, at least 5 USDC to deposit, and takes a flat $1 per USDC withdrawal. The $10 minimum is on the position, which is your amount times the multiplier, so $5 at x2 already reaches it. CopyHype raises a $5 copy to at least x3, a $15 position, to keep a small margin. If a copied trader's multiplier is too low for your amount, the copy's multiplier is raised just enough, never above x50 or the coin's maximum.
If you have ever seen "Order must have minimum value of $10" on Hyperliquid, you have met the most common beginner wall. It looks like you need $10 to trade. You do not. You need $10 of position, which is different. This page explains every minimum on Hyperliquid and how small amounts work around them.
Part of our Hyperliquid guide.
What are Hyperliquid's minimums?
$10 of position per order, 5 USDC per deposit, and a flat $1 fee per USDC withdrawal.
| Rule | Value | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | $10 of position value | Each order on perps |
| Minimum deposit | 5 USDC | Each deposit from Arbitrum |
| Withdrawal fee | $1 | Each USDC withdrawal |
On top of these, apps can set their own minimums. CopyHype's is $5 a perps trade and $10 a prediction bet, in practice and real money.
What does "$10 of position" mean?
Position value is your amount times the multiplier, so the $10 rule is about exposure, not about the money you put in.
| Your amount | Multiplier | Position | Meets $10? |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5 | x1 | $5 | No |
| $5 | x2 | $10 | Yes, with no margin |
| $5 | x3 | $15 | Yes |
| $5 | x5 | $25 | Yes |
| $10 | x1 | $10 | Yes |
| $20 | x1 | $20 | Yes |
So with $5, x2 is the bare minimum. CopyHype raises a $5 copy to x3, so the order stays above $10 if the price moves before it fills. With $10, any multiplier works.
Why does Hyperliquid have a $10 minimum?
A floor like this keeps the order book clean. Every order costs the network some work. A minimum stops thousands of tiny orders from clogging the book and makes each order worth processing.
Most big exchanges have similar floors, often per coin. Hyperliquid uses one simple rule across perps, which makes it easy to remember.
How can I trade with $5 on Hyperliquid?
Use a multiplier of x3 or more so the position clears $10 with a small margin. That is how CopyHype offers trades from $5.
When you trade solo, you pick the multiplier yourself from x2, x5, x10, x20 or x40, up to the coin's maximum. With $5, x5 clears $10 with room to spare: a $25 position.
When you copy a whale, your copy uses the whale's multiplier. If your amount times that multiplier is below $10, CopyHype raises the multiplier just enough to clear the minimum with a 3% margin, never above x50 and never above the coin's maximum. For a $5 copy, that means at least x3, a $15 position.
The trade-off is honest: a higher multiplier makes a small copy riskier than the whale's own trade. A $5 copy of a x1 whale runs at x3. If you want to stay at x1, use a bigger amount: $10.30 or more (about $11). CopyHype used to start at $2, which forced x6 on most copies. More in copy trading with small amounts.
What does a $5 trade cost?
About 4 cents round trip at x3 on main markets. Fees are a percentage of the position, not of your amount.
| $5 trade | Position | CopyHype, 0.1% each way | Hyperliquid, 0.045% each way | Round trip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| x3 | $15 | $0.015 | $0.007 | about $0.04 |
| x5 | $25 | $0.025 | $0.011 | about $0.07 |
| x10 | $50 | $0.05 | $0.023 | about $0.15 |
On stocks, gold and indices, Hyperliquid's fee is 0.09% instead of 0.045%. At x3 on gold, a $5 trade costs about 5.7 cents round trip.
What is the minimum deposit on Hyperliquid?
5 USDC. Deposits below that are not credited, so send a little more than you plan to use.
Hyperliquid deposits arrive as USDC on the Arbitrum One network. Sending the wrong coin or the wrong network can lose the money. The full walkthrough is how to deposit USDC to Hyperliquid.
On CopyHype, you can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay in the app, from $20, in the US and the EU. Anywhere else, you can send USDT or USDC from Binance or any wallet on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum, or USDC on Arbitrum One to your own wallet address shown in the app. Then one tap moves it to Hyperliquid, and CopyHype pays the network fee for that move.
How much does it cost to withdraw?
A flat $1 per USDC withdrawal, taken by Hyperliquid. It does not depend on the amount.
That makes small, frequent withdrawals expensive. Withdrawing $10 costs 10%. Withdrawing $100 costs 1%. On small accounts, withdraw in one go.
What happens if my position drops below $10?
Nothing breaks: the $10 rule applies when you place an order, not while a position is open. A $10 position that loses value stays open until you close it, it is liquidated, or the copied trader exits.
Why would a small copy be skipped?
Usually because reaching $10 would need a multiplier above the coin's maximum or above x50, or because the price already ran. Both rules protect you.
Example: you copy with $5 on a coin whose maximum multiplier is x1. The most you can reach is $5 x 1 = $5 of position, below Hyperliquid's $10. The copy cannot be placed. With $11 on the same coin, $11 x 1 = $11 works. Meme coins have lower caps than BTC or ETH (x3 to x10 when checked in October 2026), and at $5 they all reach $10.
| Your amount | Coin's max multiplier | Highest position | Can copy? |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5 | x1 | $5 | No |
| $5 | x3 | $15 | Yes, at x3 |
| $5 | x10 | $50 | Yes, at x3 |
| $11 | x1 | $11 | Yes, at x1 |
The other reason is chasing. If the price already moved a lot in the whale's direction since they entered, buying now is a worse trade than theirs, so the copy is skipped. Raising your amount fixes the first case, not the second.
What minimums apply to predictions?
Hyperliquid also requires at least $10 per order on its outcome markets (HIP-4). There is no multiplier on predictions, so a prediction order needs $10 of your own money. Predictions are live in CopyHype with the same $10 minimum. More: Hyperliquid prediction markets.
How do I start with a small amount?
Practice with practice money, then add money and trade from $5 a trade.
- Open @copyhypefamilybot in Telegram. Tap Start, then Open the app.
- Practice first. $1,000 of practice money, free for 24 hours, plus 24 hours per invited friend whose first trade opens. Same $5 minimum as real money.
- Switch to Real. Your own non-custodial wallet is created: only you can withdraw.
- Send at least 6 USDC on Arbitrum One. The exchange keeps a small fee to send it, so at least $5 arrives. For example, send 7 USDC.
- Trade from $5. Solo at x5 or more, or copy a whale.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Hyperliquid say "Order must have minimum value of $10"?
Because the position value (amount times multiplier) of your order is below $10. Raise the amount or the multiplier.
Can I trade with $1 on Hyperliquid?
Technically, $1 at x10 is a $10 position. On CopyHype the minimum is $5 a trade, which keeps fees and liquidation more reasonable.
Is the minimum the same for stocks and gold?
The $10 position minimum applies to perps orders generally. Fees are higher on stocks, gold and indices: 0.09% per side instead of 0.045%.
What is the smallest deposit that works?
5 USDC on Hyperliquid. Send a little more from an exchange, since it keeps a small fee to send it. On CopyHype, trades start at $5, and card payments at $20.
Does practice money follow the same minimums?
Yes. On CopyHype, practice mirrors real money: $5 a trade, the same multiplier rules and the same trading fees, in practice money.
Does the $10 minimum include fees?
No. It is measured on the position value of the order: amount times multiplier. Fees are charged on top, as a percentage of that position.
Why does CopyHype use $5 and not $2?
At $2, a copy needed x6 or more just to reach Hyperliquid's $10 order minimum, which put liquidation very close and let fees eat most of the result. $5 keeps the raised multiplier at x3.
