How much does CopyHype cost?
Practice is free. With real money, CopyHype takes 0.1% of the trade size each way. Hyperliquid charges its own fee on top: 0.045% on main markets, 0.09% on stocks, gold and indices. With a friend's link, CopyHype's part is 10% lower. The rate is the same on every trade, and your results are always shown after fees.

What does "trade size" mean on Perps?
Trade size is the full position: your amount times the multiplier. A $20 trade at x5 is a $100 position, so the CopyHype fee is 0.1% of $100, which is 10 cents, when you open, and again when you close.
The Perps fee is collected through Hyperliquid's builder code system: it shows up on Hyperliquid as part of the fill, next to Hyperliquid's own fee. The approval for it is one of the two signatures when you set up real money. CopyHype's builder address on Hyperliquid is 0x119d168548b882164897d52e786f6699ae4cdb8b, so anyone can check the fees it collects on chain.
What does Hyperliquid charge?
Hyperliquid charges a trading fee on each fill and runs funding on open positions. CopyHype does not set or keep any of these.

What does a $20 Perps copy cost?
About 29 cents for the round trip at x5: 20 cents to CopyHype and 9 cents to Hyperliquid, plus or minus funding. Here is the detail.
The whale opens a trade at x5. Your amount is $20, so your position is $100. The price ends up flat, and you close with the whale.
| Step | CopyHype | Hyperliquid (base tier) |
|---|---|---|
| Open, $100 position | $0.10 | $0.045 |
| Close, $100 position | $0.10 | $0.045 |
| Total | $0.20 | $0.09 |
Round trip, about 29 cents on a $20 trade, plus or minus funding while the trade is open. With a friend's link, the CopyHype part is 18 cents instead of 20.
A bigger multiplier means a bigger position, so fees grow with it. At x20, the same $20 is a $400 position and each side costs four times more.
What does a $5 trade cost?
About 4 cents for the round trip: at $5, the copy uses at least x3, so the position is at least $15. Fees follow the position, not your amount.
Hyperliquid needs $10 of position per order, so a $5 copy of a trader at x1 is raised to x3, a $15 position. Opening and closing it costs about 3 cents to CopyHype and about 1.4 cents to Hyperliquid. That is about 0.9% of your $5, which a small move covers. A $5 copy of a trader at x20 is a $100 position, and costs about 29 cents round trip, close to 6% of the $5. Small amounts and high multipliers are an expensive mix.
What do predictions cost?
1% when you buy and 1% if you sell before the result, with nothing from CopyHype at the result. Hyperliquid adds its own fee of about 0.07% when you sell or when the market settles. On a $10 bet, you pay $10.10, and 10% off applies with a friend's link. Details: Predictions in CopyHype.
What does a $20 trade on gold or a stock cost?
About 38 cents for the round trip at x5: 20 cents to CopyHype and 18 cents to Hyperliquid. Hyperliquid's fee on stocks, gold and indices is 0.09% per side, twice its main-market fee.
| Step, $100 position | CopyHype | Hyperliquid (0.09%) |
|---|---|---|
| Open | $0.10 | $0.09 |
| Close | $0.10 | $0.09 |
| Total | $0.20 | $0.18 |
Why does practice charge fees?
So that practice results are honest. A practice trade pays the same trading fees as a real one, in practice money. If practice ignored fees, a strategy that loses in real life could look like a winner.
How does the friend discount work?
If you joined with a friend's link, every CopyHype fee is 10% lower for you: 0.09% instead of 0.1%. Your friend earns a share of what CopyHype makes on your real money trades. See referral.
