How to fund Hyperliquid with USDT from Binance, no card needed

Hyperliquid only takes USDC on Arbitrum, and most people hold USDT on Binance. CopyHype closes that gap: send USDT or USDC and it arrives as USDC in your own wallet, ready to trade from $5 a trade. Here is how, step by step, and the mistakes to avoid.

Short answer

Hyperliquid itself only takes USDC on the Arbitrum One network, so USDT on BNB Chain cannot go in directly. In CopyHype, it can: tap Add money, pick USDT (or USDC), copy the deposit address, and send USDT or USDC from Binance or any wallet on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum. It arrives as USDC in your own CopyHype wallet in minutes, and CopyHype pays the network fee of that deposit. Then one tap, Move it in, puts it in your trading balance on Hyperliquid, from $5 a trade. No card needed.

Most people who want to try Hyperliquid already hold some crypto, and very often it is USDT on Binance. The catch: Hyperliquid does not take USDT, and it does not take anything sent on BNB Chain. A card is not the answer everywhere either: in CopyHype, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay work only in the United States and the 27 EU countries. This guide shows the route that works from anywhere: USDT from Binance, into your own CopyHype wallet, then into Hyperliquid.

Part of our Hyperliquid guide.

Why can't I send USDT straight to Hyperliquid?

Because Hyperliquid trades in USDC, and its standard deposit route is the Arbitrum One network. USDT is a different coin, and BNB Chain is a different network.

USDT and USDC are both digital dollars: 1 USDT and 1 USDC are each worth about $1. But they are different tokens, issued by different companies. Hyperliquid settles everything in USDC, and its bridge takes USDC from Arbitrum (>Hyperliquid docs, bridge).

On your own, getting from USDT on Binance to a Hyperliquid balance takes several steps:

  1. Swap USDT for USDC on Binance.
  2. Withdraw the USDC on Arbitrum One to your own wallet.
  3. Get a little ETH on Arbitrum to pay the gas of the deposit.
  4. Deposit to Hyperliquid, at least 5 USDC.

Each step is a chance to pick the wrong coin or the wrong network. The full manual path is in how to deposit USDC to Hyperliquid.

How does CopyHype take USDT?

In the app, tap Add money and pick USDT (or USDC). You get a deposit address. Send USDT or USDC to it on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum, and it arrives as USDC in your own CopyHype wallet in minutes.

The conversion happens on the way in. You do not need to swap USDT for USDC on Binance first, and you do not need ETH or BNB for gas: CopyHype pays the network fee of that deposit.

How do I send USDT from Binance to CopyHype?

Copy the deposit address from the USDT tab in CopyHype, then withdraw USDT on Binance with the network BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). The whole thing takes a few minutes.

  1. Open Add money in CopyHype. Switch to Real at the top of the app first if you have not yet. Your own wallet is created in a couple of taps.
  2. Pick the USDT tab. Tap Get my deposit address, pick USDT and BNB Chain, then copy the address shown. Always copy it from inside the app, never from a message.
  3. Start a withdrawal on Binance. Go to your wallet, tap Withdraw, pick USDT and choose to send it on a crypto network. Paste the address.
  4. Choose BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). This is the network field. Not Tron (TRC20), not Ethereum (ERC20).
  5. Enter at least $6. Binance keeps a small fee to send it, so at least $5 arrives. Check the amount that will arrive, then confirm.
  6. Wait a few minutes. It arrives as USDC in your CopyHype wallet, and CopyHype messages you on Telegram.
  7. Tap Move it in. One tap puts it in your trading balance on Hyperliquid. CopyHype pays that network fee too.

Binance moves its menus around from time to time, but the three fields stay the same: the coin (USDT), the network (BNB Smart Chain, also shown as BEP20) and the address. Holding USDT or USDC on Base, Polygon or Arbitrum in another wallet? Same idea: send it on that network, and check that the network you pick matches what the app shows.

Which network should I pick on Binance?

BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) is the simplest pick on Binance. Base, Polygon and Arbitrum work too. Any other network does not.

Network on the withdrawal screen Send to CopyHype?
BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) Yes
Base Yes
Polygon Yes
Arbitrum One Yes
Tron (TRC20) No
Ethereum (ERC20) No
Solana No

Binance shows the fee for each network before you confirm. Whatever you pick, it must be one of the four networks above, and the same one on both sides.

What mistakes should I avoid?

The wrong network, the wrong address, and an amount too small to move in. Crypto transfers cannot be undone, so check these before you confirm.

  • Wrong network. Tron (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20) and Solana are not on the list. Send only on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum.
  • Sending to a Hyperliquid address directly. Hyperliquid's own deposit route takes USDC on Arbitrum, not USDT, and not BNB Chain. USDT sent there can be lost. Send to the address from the USDT tab in CopyHype.
  • Mixing up the two addresses. The USDC tab in CopyHype shows your wallet address with the tags "USDC" and "Arbitrum One". That address is for USDC on Arbitrum One only. USDT goes to the address from the USDT tab.
  • Too small. At least $5 has to arrive, the smallest deposit Hyperliquid accepts. Binance takes its withdrawal fee from what you send, and the conversion can take a little off on the way in, so send a bit more and check the amount that will arrive.
  • Copying an address from a chat. Copy it from the app every time. Scammers post fake addresses. See Telegram trading bot scams.
  • Skipping the test. First time? Send a small amount, see it land, then send the rest.

How long does it take?

Minutes. Binance first processes the withdrawal on its side, then the money arrives as USDC in your CopyHype wallet. Move it in is one tap after that.

Taking longer than expected? Check the withdrawal status in Binance first. If Binance shows it as completed, the network and the address are the two things to check.

What does it cost?

Binance's withdrawal fee, shown before you confirm. CopyHype pays the network fee of the deposit and of Move it in. Hyperliquid charges nothing to deposit.

Withdrawing USDT from Binance Binance's own fee, shown before you confirm
Arriving as USDC in your CopyHype wallet CopyHype pays the network fee
Move it in to Hyperliquid CopyHype pays the network fee

Trading fees are separate: 0.1% of the position each way for CopyHype, plus Hyperliquid's own fee. See Hyperliquid fees explained.

What can I do with a small deposit?

Copy a whale at $5 a trade, or trade solo on crypto, stocks, gold and indices. Each trade can lose only its own amount.

At $5 a trade, a trade opens at x3 or more, a position of at least $15, because Hyperliquid's minimum order is $10. The multiplier works both ways, up and down. Why the $10 matters: Hyperliquid minimum order size.

Can I withdraw back to Binance?

Yes, as USDC on Arbitrum One. You sign the withdrawal, and Hyperliquid takes $1. Withdrawals go out as USDC on Arbitrum One, not as USDT on BNB Chain.

On Binance, open Deposit, pick USDC and the Arbitrum One network, and copy that address. In CopyHype, tap Withdraw on Home, paste it and tick the network box. The minimum is $2. Once it lands on Binance, you can swap it back to USDT or sell it.
