Wallets, deposits and withdrawals

With real money, CopyHype trades from a wallet that belongs to you. This page covers setup, the network, deposits, withdrawals, your key, and what CopyHype can and cannot do with it.

Updated

Who holds my money?

You do. Real money sits in your own wallet, created with Privy and signed in with your Telegram account. Only you can withdraw or export its key. CopyHype never holds your funds.

CopyHype gets a separate trading key. It can open and close trades for you, even while you sleep, so copies happen on time. It can never withdraw. Only your own wallet can approve it or remove it.

Action You CopyHype's trading key
Open and close trades Yes Yes
Withdraw Yes No
Export the wallet key Yes No
Revoke the trading key Yes No

Privy is a wallet provider used by many crypto apps, and it was acquired by Stripe. There is no seed phrase to write down: your Telegram account signs you in.

Which coin and network does the wallet use?

USDC on the Arbitrum One network. USDC is a digital dollar, 1 USDC is about $1. Whether you pay by card in the app, send USDT or send USDC yourself, it lands in your wallet as USDC on Arbitrum. From there, one tap moves it into Hyperliquid, where your perps trades run.

Item Your perps wallet
Coin USDC
Add money Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay in the app (US, EU), USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum, or USDC sent on Arbitrum One
Used for Hyperliquid perps
Minimum to move into Hyperliquid 5 USDC
Withdraw to Any address that accepts USDC on Arbitrum One
Withdrawal cost $1, taken by Hyperliquid

Predictions use the same wallet and the same USDC. Hyperliquid's outcome markets settle in USDC.

How do I set up real money?

In the app, switch to Real at the top and follow three steps: create your wallet, allow CopyHype to trade, add money. It takes a couple of minutes.

  1. Create your wallet. Sign in with Telegram. Your own wallet is created on the spot. Only you can take money out.
  2. Allow CopyHype to trade. Two signatures: one lets CopyHype open and close trades for you, one approves the 0.1% fee per trade. Neither can withdraw.
  3. Add money. Tap Add money and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, from $20 (US, EU), pick USDT to send USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum, or send USDC on the Arbitrum One network to your wallet address. Tap Move it in when it lands.

Switch to Real at the top of the app to start. You can trade from $5 a trade.

How do I add USDC?

The easiest way: tap Add money, pick an amount from $20 and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. It works in the United States and the 27 EU countries, processed by Link by Stripe inside the app, with a quick ID check the first time only. The USDC lands in your own wallet on Arbitrum in a few minutes. Then tap Move it in to put it in your trading balance on Hyperliquid. CopyHype pays the network fee for that move, and takes nothing.

No card? Send USDT or USDC. Tap Add money, pick USDT (or USDC), copy the deposit address and send USDT or USDC from Binance or any wallet on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon or Arbitrum. It arrives as USDC in your own wallet in minutes, and CopyHype pays the network fee of that deposit. Then tap Move it in. Step by step: fund Hyperliquid with USDT from Binance.

Or use the USDC tab: send USDC on the Arbitrum One network to your wallet address the app shows, then tap Move it in. For that address:

  • From an exchange or a wallet: USDC is a digital dollar, 1 USDC = $1. Send it from Revolut, Coinbase, Binance or any wallet, on Arbitrum One. Step by step: fund Hyperliquid with a card.
  • The network matters: on your exchange's withdrawal page, pick USDC and the Arbitrum One network. Not Ethereum, not Base, not Polygon, not Solana. Coming from BNB Chain, Base or Polygon, or holding USDT? Use the USDT tab instead.
  • Minimum: Hyperliquid needs at least 5 USDC to move in. If less arrives, send a bit more and move it all in one go.
  • First time: send a small amount first. When it lands, send the rest.

The address comes with a QR code, the labels "USDC" and "Arbitrum One" and a warning: "Only USDC on Arbitrum One. Another coin or network can be lost."

How do I withdraw?

On Home, tap ↗ Withdraw, enter the amount, paste an 0x address and tick the box "This address takes USDC on the Arbitrum network." Then sign in your wallet. The money goes straight from your wallet to that address.

Item USDC withdrawal
Goes out on Arbitrum One
Minimum $2
Send to Your own wallet, or your exchange's Deposit USDC page with network Arbitrum One
Time A few minutes
Cost $1, taken by Hyperliquid to pay the network. CopyHype takes nothing

You do not need a Hyperliquid account to get your money out. The app only accepts an 0x address, and stops you if you paste your own trading wallet. A transfer cannot be undone.

Can I export my key?

Yes. Settings, Wallet key, Export. It is your wallet. With the key you can open it in another wallet app at any time, without CopyHype. Keep the key secret: anyone who has it can take the money.

What are the golden rules?

Right coin, right network, a small test first, and nobody but you can withdraw. Four habits cover almost every way people lose money moving crypto.

  • Right coin, right network, every time. USDC with Arbitrum One.
  • Wrong network means money lost. Nobody can get it back: not CopyHype, not the exchange.
  • Only you can withdraw. The trading key only trades.
  • Send a small amount first, see it land, then the rest.

The app has a short Real money school mission that covers all of this before your first real trade.
