Best Hyperliquid copy trading bots and apps, compared (2026)

There is more than one way to follow a good Hyperliquid trader. They differ on who holds your money, how much you control and what it costs. Here is a fair side by side.

By CopyHype · Updated · 8 min read

Short answer

The best option depends on custody, control and cost. Four main ways exist. Hyperliquid vaults pool your money with a leader who trades it; on the original HyperCore vaults the leader takes 10% of profits and user vault deposits are locked for 1 day. BitMEX lets its users copy or reverse copy Hyperliquid traders from a BitMEX account. DIY bots and trackers give full control but take work. Copy bots like Hyperbot and CopyHype mirror trades into your own account; CopyHype runs in Telegram, from $5 a trade, with a free 24-hour practice trial and a wallet only you can withdraw from.

If you want your money to follow a good Hyperliquid trader, you have options. Some are built into Hyperliquid. Some come from exchanges. Some you build yourself. And some, like CopyHype, run as an app inside Telegram. None of them is best for everyone. This page lays out how each one works, using what each provider publishes, so you can choose.

We make CopyHype, so we are not neutral. Every fact about the others links to its source, checked on October 17 and 19, 2026. The list is at the end.

What makes a Hyperliquid copy trading bot good?

Five things: only you can withdraw, exits are mirrored, each trade can lose only its amount, the full fee is known before you tap, and you can practice first. Then come the trader picks and the interface.

Criterion What to look for
Custody Your own wallet, a trading-only key (Hyperliquid API wallet)
Exits Partial and full exits mirrored
Max loss per trade Your amount, with isolated margin
Fees Stated per trade, on the position, before you tap
Practice Play money on live prices
Trader picks Rules that test copyability, not a raw profit ranking

The full checklist is in 10 checks for Telegram copy trading bots. The key mechanism is explained in Hyperliquid API wallets.

What are the options?

Hyperliquid vaults, exchange copy trading (BitMEX offers it for Hyperliquid traders), copy trading bots (such as Hyperbot), do-it-yourself bots, and Telegram copy apps like CopyHype.

How do Hyperliquid vaults work?

A vault is a pool. You deposit USDC, a leader trades the whole pool, and you own a share of it. When you withdraw, you get your share of the vault's value. For the original vaults on HyperCore, which Hyperliquid's docs now call legacy, the documentation says the leader takes a 10% profit share, user vault deposits are locked for 1 day, and its own HLP vault has a 4-day lock-up.

Hyperliquid's docs also describe newer vaults on HyperEVM, which builders can create and tokenize with fully customizable accounting. Their fees and lock-ups depend on each vault, so read the terms of the one you pick.

What vaults do well:

  • Simple. One deposit, nothing else to do.
  • Exact replication. You are in the same positions as the leader, at the same prices, because it is the same account.
  • Native. Built into Hyperliquid. No third party between you and the exchange.

Where they fall short for some people:

  • No control per trade. You cannot skip a trade, cap leverage or set your own stop.
  • One leader per vault. Spreading across traders means several vaults.
  • Profit share. On HyperCore vaults, 10% of profits goes to the leader, on top of trading costs.
  • Lock-up. On HyperCore user vaults, your money cannot leave for a day after deposit.
  • Only traders who run vaults. Most of the leaderboard does not run one.

The last point is the big one. Vaults let you follow the traders who chose to open a vault. A copy tool lets you follow any public address.

How does BitMEX's Hyperliquid copy trading work?

BitMEX lets its users copy, or reverse copy, Hyperliquid traders from inside a BitMEX account. BitMEX launched it on February 5, 2026. Its launch release says traders are ranked on metrics such as PnL, drawdown, win ratio and assets under management, that up to five Hyperliquid traders can be copied at the same time, that you can set take profits and stop losses, and that copiers get this without exposure to underlying DeFi risk.

What it does well:

  • Familiar. If you already trade on a centralized exchange, it feels normal.
  • No wallet to manage. You copy from your exchange account.
  • Reverse copy. You can take the opposite side of a trader, which most copy tools do not offer.

Trade-offs:

  • Custody. Your money sits with the exchange, not in a wallet you control.
  • Availability. Exchange accounts come with the exchange's own sign-up rules, which depend on where you live. Check BitMEX.
  • Fees. BitMEX's help center says Hyperliquid leaders charge 15% of net profit, after trading and funding fees, with standard BitMEX trading fees on each copied trade and nothing to the leader if you lose.
  • Five traders at most at the same time, per the release.

How does Hyperbot's copy trading work?

Hyperbot offers Hyperliquid trading bots, including a copy trading bot and a whale tracker, on the web and in Telegram (beta), with subscription tiers plus a 0.1% service fee per copy trade. That is how a June 2026 review by CoinLaunch describes it, adding that paying with its $BOT token can save up to 20% and that you connect a wallet and trade directly on Hyperliquid (>CoinLaunch).

What it does well, per that review:

  • A suite of bots. Grid, sniping and copy trading in one place.
  • Whale tracker. Find top Hyperliquid traders to follow.
  • Web and Telegram. Two ways to use it.

What to check before using it: the custody model of the connected wallet, the subscription cost on top of the per-trade fee, and how exits and sizing are handled. The review did not label custody explicitly.

What about building your own?

Watching addresses and copying by hand, or writing a bot on Hyperliquid's public API, gives you full control and costs only Hyperliquid's fees. Hyperliquid's API exposes positions and fills, and its websocket streams them live, so a script can see a trade and place an order.

It is the cheapest option and the most work. You need to pick traders, handle partial closes, missed messages, rate limits, slippage checks, sizing, leverage limits and a minimum order of $10. You run the code, keep it alive at 3 am, and secure your own key. For developers who want exactly their rules, it is great. For most people, it is a weekend project that never quite finishes.

How does CopyHype compare?

CopyHype mirrors each trade of the whales you choose into your own wallet, at your amount, inside Telegram. You can copy several whales at once, set your amount (at least $5 a trade), add a take profit or a stop loss if you want, and close any trade yourself.

What it does well:

  • Every Hyperliquid perps market. Crypto, stocks, gold and indices (HIP-3), and meme coins like PEPE, WIF and POPCAT, copied or traded solo. Predictions on Hyperliquid's outcome markets (HIP-4) too, copied or solo, from $10 a bet.
  • Any public trader, not only vault leaders. Search a name or paste an address. Or use the whale lists: the top 8 traders by profit over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days on Hyperliquid's leaderboard, among those who traded in the last 24 hours.
  • Your wallet. Real money sits in your own wallet created with Privy. Only you can withdraw. CopyHype's trading key opens and closes trades and can never withdraw.
  • Practice first. $1,000 of practice money, live prices, the same trading fees: a free 24-hour trial, plus 24 hours per invited friend whose first trade opens.
  • No chasing. If the price already moved more than 2% the whale's way, the copy is skipped.
  • Max loss per trade. Your amount. A trade cannot pull from the rest of your wallet.
  • Let it ride. A winning perps trade can pay for a second trade without selling and without new cash. The first trade gets riskier. See Let it ride.

Trade-offs, honestly:

  • Not the whale's exact price. A copy lands after the whale's trade. A vault does not have this problem.
  • The whale's multiplier, capped at x50 and at the coin's maximum, and raised if needed to reach Hyperliquid's $10 order minimum. To take less risk, use a smaller amount or a stop loss.
  • Telegram login only. The app runs in Telegram or on the web, but you sign in with Telegram. If you do not use Telegram, it is not for you.
  • Per-trade fee. 0.1% of the trade size each way, plus Hyperliquid's fee (0.045% on main markets including meme coins, 0.09% on stocks, gold and indices). No profit share, no subscription.
  • No reverse copy.

Which one should I pick?

Pick on custody first, then on control. A vault is the most hands-off, an exchange the most familiar, your own bot the cheapest, and a copy app the most flexible with your own wallet.

If you want Pick
Set and forget with one trader who runs a vault A Hyperliquid vault
To stay on a centralized exchange BitMEX copy trading
A suite of grid, sniping and copy bots on the web Hyperbot
Full control and you can code Your own bot
Your own wallet, several traders, your own size and exits, and practice first CopyHype

Whatever you pick, size small at first, and treat the trader's past results as a hint, not a promise.

Where do these facts come from?

From Hyperliquid's docs, BitMEX's materials and a dated review of Hyperbot, read on October 17 and 19, 2026. CopyHype facts match the docs.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Hyperliquid vault the same as copy trading?

Not quite. In a vault, your money joins a pool the leader trades directly. In copy trading, your own account opens its own trades that mirror the leader's, at your size.

What is the profit share in a Hyperliquid vault?

For HyperCore vaults, Hyperliquid's documentation says leaders take a 10% profit share and user vault deposits are locked for 1 day. Newer HyperEVM vaults set their own terms.

Can I copy any Hyperliquid trader, not only vault leaders?

Yes, with a copy tool. Every Hyperliquid address is public. CopyHype can copy any of them: search a name or paste the address.

Which option is cheapest?

Your own bot, since you only pay Hyperliquid's fees. Among done-for-you options, it depends on how much you trade and how much profit there is: a vault's 10% profit share costs nothing in a losing month and a lot in a great one, while a per-trade fee is the same either way.
